Born Nnaemeka Sean Enekwachi professionally known as Kiyagi (Fka Kizz Ernie) a 26 year old Producer, songwriter and artist, born in Lagos state Nigeria, he spent some part of his early years growing up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He started getting involved with music at age 5, by learning how to play the piano ; Born to music loving parents, he grew up on sounds of Michael Jackson, Fela kuti, Brenda Fassie,Onyeka Onwenu, Plantashun boiz, and the likes. He got fully involved in music when he joined the church choir at age 7, being the youngest member of the choir. Went on to record his first song at age 13 while in High school. Kiyagi started music Professionally in 2015, dropped a couple singles and covers, also won the Nigerian Teen Choice award for “Best collaboration” for his debut single “Dobale” where he featured with Laime, who he went on to release other records with like 23, Island and many more, the song rocked the airwaves and gave him a good listener base back in university, he has been nominated a couple more times for other awards including the Top Naija Music awards in 2016, he has a Bachelors degree in Economics & masters in Audio Technology. He gained a very solid audience when he dropped the single “For The Season” , which did very well digitally, with a lot of streams on all platforms, giving him more recognition, He released his debut EP titled “Pressure”’ in May 2018, which peaked at number 10 on the Top albums chart on Apple Music in Nigeria, dropped a couple more singles including; Feel Am, Basement, Jeje ft Dapo Tuburna; Put out his Sophomore EP“ Kiyagi” In January 2020, a surprise EP that peaked at number 9 on the top albums charts on Apple Music NG.
Fast forward to late 2020, Kiyagi released a double single titled 23/For Days, ’23’ where he teamed up with ‘Laime’ & David Meli which received airplays, editorials support, playlists ( New Music Daily, Africa Rising, Chill Rap & many more on Apple Music) and many more on platforms like BBC Introducing West Midlands, No Signal, Reprezent Radio, Westside Radio, Brackley FM, Link Up TV, Harmattan Rain , Cool FM, Native Mag amongst others, it got First Play on No Signal Radio, KexP Radio, he released ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe (DKMV)’ an amapiano/dance record which also got
support on various platforms as the follow up single, in between that he won the award for ‘BEST ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK’ at the Real Time Festival in April 2021 for his production on ‘The Satchel’.
His latest release titled ‘Get Bread’ features friend & collaborator ‘Psycho YP’
, an Hip Hop/Rap Record which got massive support, like getting featured on OldMan Ebro’s Show on Apple Music, Interviews on BBC INTRODUCING, SisiOnRepeat Show on Reform Radio, BEN TELEVISION, First Plays on various UK radio stations and many more. He has worked with a number of artistes like Nissi, Dapo Turburna, TrillXoe, Psycho YP and many more with Co-signs from Nigerian Dancehall Maestro Patoranking, YCEE to mention but a few. Kiyagi has released 2 Extended plays (EP’s) & multiple chart topping singles.
